11 Days in Morocco desert tour from Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech

Arrive at Marrakech airport. Our accompanying guide will take you to your accommodation next to Jemaa el Fna Square.

Day 2: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat

After Breakfast. we will start our 11 days in Morocco by taking the Highway to Casablanca. Upon arrival, visit the environment of the majestic and highest in the world Hassan Mosque. Continuation of the route to Rabat, to visit the most outstanding places: the Alcazaba of Oudayas, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Tower of Hassan. Dinner and accommodation at Riad Zyo or similar.

Day 3: Rabat – Chefchaouen

After Breakfast. We will start our third day of 11 days in Morocco by leaving towards the northwest to reach the city of Chefchaouen. Upon arrival, we will go up to a viewpoint and see the reason for its beauty and location. Then we will go down to the medina where you can walk through it. Accommodation and dinner at the Riad Dar Chaouen or similar.

Day 4: Chefchaouen – Fes

In the morning after taking your breakfast, we will begin our fourth day of 11 days in Morocco from Marrakech towards Fes, and we will arrive in the afternoon. Accommodation and dinner at the Hotel Palais Houyam or similar.

Day 5: Visiting of Fes

After your breakfast. Your local Fez guide will come to your accommodation to start a guided tour. Fez has managed to maintain its traditions, its crafts, its trades, and its university, one of the oldest in the world. Not surprisingly, Fes was considered “the city of Faith and Knowledge”, becoming the capital of culture and one of the most important religious centers in the country. We will visit its medina, called the Bali, one of the largest medieval sites in the world and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, with its souks and alleys, we will also visit the Royal Palace and its Jewish quarter. Dinner and accommodation at the Hotel Palais Houyam or similar.

Day 6: Fes – Merzouga Desert camp

In the morning we will start our sixth day of 11 days in Morocco tour to the south. Among the wonders that we will find are: Ifrane, known as Moroccan Switzerland, the Cedar of Azrou forest with its curious inhabitants, the Azrou volcanic region, the magnificent rocky valley of the Ziz river as well as its immense palm grove. Continuation of the trip to Merzouga. Accommodation riad/hotel.

Day 7: the Visiting of Merzouga

After breakfast, we will visit the surroundings of Merzouga and Erg Chebbi, the great dune. We will visit towns like Khamlia, where descendants of former slaves from sub-Saharan Africa reside and who have maintained their traditions through the music of a spiritual nature called Gnawa that we will also enjoy. We will see more Berber villages and traditions. Afterward, some dromedaries will lead us to the desert camp where we will have dinner, listen to traditional Berber music, and sleep in luxury tents with a private bathroom. Accommodation in the Desert Camp. and the end of our seventh day of 11 days in Morocco.

Day 8: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Boumaln Dades

After breakfast, again the dromedaries will take us to the SUV to continue our route. We will make a stop in the city of Rissani to visit an interesting local market that supplies more than 600 towns around the desert. Now we will continue to Tinerghir to visit one of the most beautiful geological sections of the Middle Atlas and then we will visit another beautiful place in the valley of the Dades. Accommodation and dinner at hotel/riad.

Day 9: Boumalne Dades – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

In the morning and after breakfast, we will continue our 11 days in Morocco tour along the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs until Ouarzazate. From this city, known for its great cinematographic studios, we will take the course of the Ounila River, there we will visit the Kasar of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and whose interest fully justifies the visit to this area of the Altas. Once again the Ounila valley will lead us to the Kashba Taoulet, another beautiful and historical place, and our last visit before arriving in Marrakech. Accommodation at Riad/Hotel.

Day 10: The Visiting of Marrakech

After breakfast, our certified local guide will pick you up at our accommodation to take you to know Marrakech, known among other ways as the red city and which contains places like the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia mosque minaret, the Saadies Tombs, and the Bahia Palace, many of which will be visited. We will have lunch in a classic restaurant near Jemaa El-Fna Square and in the afternoon, there will be free time to visit the beautiful and famous medina. Accommodation at riad/hotel. end of our tenth day of 11 days in Morocco.

Day 11: Marrakech – airport

After breakfast. Free morning to walk around the Medina, for example. At the agreed time and place, transfer to the airport to take your return flight.
